but different versions of Impulse in separate kits, one red, one
blue....grrrr
Yeah in sword mode, Impulse is red, and in shield + beam rifle it's
blue.
Picked up new Animage today, Nov edition, Cover is purple with Shinn and the
redheaded Zaft girl with pink skirt...(If she actually pilots with that skirt
on, I'll really laugh and I guess we now know which girls will be after Shinn
) and it also has a nice "frame by frame" disection of the op with
comments...grrr I need to learn Japanese one of these days.
Another thing that will bother me about Destiny...Shinn looks way too much like
a girl...especially in this damn pic...you know, why don't they just make a
Gundam series that has a GIRL pilot lead.
Those "Zakus" were a nice touch, yeah, especially the one Athrun
piloted with the "Beam-Axe" even coming out of the shield...that was
sw33t. Reminded me alot of 0080 ^_^.
Stella....mmmm I think she'll be an interesting character...and the other 2 new
girls look interesting too .
Shinn better not be another Shinji...

But I do not like Impulse at all...I read on the transforming/combination part
ala core-booster model, and I did like how it goes back to how orignial Gundam
(UC) was, but still, just seeing it in this aniimation style really looks crappy
to me. I really hope thay at least shorten it up later. Impulse itself looks
cool, especially with a double sword, but the red color is ugly for a main
Gundam.
Chaos, Gaia, and Abyss....first, those Gundams just look weak compared to the
original 5...and Gaia??? Ok...couldn't they have picked a way better name than
Gaia...like maybe Darkstar or some other nice evil sounding one? Yes I will run
away from a Gundam named...Gaia...
Can't wait to see Athrun's, Yzac's, and Deaka's Gundams in action.

Firefox since those pop ups got so bad and IE started crashing. Tabs rule!

A few friends with them have also said that the lack of 1920 x 1200 and such
irks them. But you can usually ask a waller to make you a resized wal..just say
how much you like their work and suck up ^_^l or yeah, you can do it yourself
but if you do you will usually have to trim and stuff. If you don't want to
stretch, follow below.
Open the wall in PS. Increase the resolution to 1 size above, so 1600 x 1200 to
1920 x 1440, Open a new file with the resolution size you want (1920 x 1200).
Select the entire canvas..use the retangle marquiee tool, copy and paste on the
1920 x 1440 wall. Go layer style and blend mode -> screen and set opacity to
like 50%. Then just drag the "box" arround till you have the image as
you want it. Bring the backround layer to front. Then use the marguee tool again
to select the image using the white box as a guide. Copy and paste to a new
canvas. Then you should have a nice resized wall of your choice.
Probably as more people get widescreen, wallers will design those resolutions. I
see dual monitor ones now at 3200 x 1600 wee..^_^

The art is wonderful, a more refined version of Nadesico animation style. Very
clean and pretty. Characters are wonderful with a story that is both light
hearted and serious. Ending is nice too. Shipon rocks!

It depends on what you want. Newtype is basically a "general" anime
mag with a wide spectum of the anime out there in Japan. Megami is more
"Shounen Perv Oriented"....I don't think I've ever seen a pick of a
guy in Megami ever...but, yeah, basically lots of pretty girl pics.
I for one can't read a single bit of japanese..but I enjoy flipping through both
mags pretty pics. And for USA Newtype, the US version usually is about 2 months
behind on content sorta...they tend to mix and match so sometimes you can get
stuff that is current (usually not), but if I wanted to read a particular
article, I'll go to Borders or something and read it there. But they generally
don't have any info that I usually don't know already.
If you are in the states, subscribing to Newtype USA is pretty good, you can
save a few bucks from rack price. I don't beleive you can "subscribe"
to the Japanese version of Newtype or get Megami (Jap only last time I
checked)...though you can get them through places like Asahiya or Kino or some
other Japanese book stores through special order...perhaps they give
subscription discounts of some sort on that. Or buy just buy off the
shelf.
Just remember, Megami is like 50% more expensive than Japanese/USA
Newtype.
I though personally prefer Animage over either. Has a nice mix of anime pics and
great special items in it...Sept Animage had Col Mustang's State Alchemist
gloves from FMA ^_^.
I actually collect Animage now, best bang for the buck at about $9...sometimes I
get Newtype ($8) if there is some good pics in it and Animedia ($5) also since
it's so cheap. I haven't gotten a Megami ($13) or a Dengeki Ani-mage ($15) in
awhile since they are so much more expensive, but those have the best pics..no
text poster pullouts of bishoujo ^_^.
